How long does it take to make my model?

Each model is handcrafted to order in Stuttgart. Due to increased demand, models are currently expected to be ready to ship on the following dates:

14-26 cm

Will my model be made exactly like the preview?

Yes. Your model is crafted exactly as you configured it in the preview: same area, same size, same color scheme, same details. The geodata is saved at the time of purchase to rule out short-term changes to the map data. Good to know: Signature features of the finished model, like the fine contour lines and the material surface, cannot be fully shown in the digital preview. To see how they look on the real model, check the photos on our website.

What materials is my model made from?

We use 100% biodegradable plastic. Each model is then hand-finished and inspected in our Stuttgart studio. The frame is made of solid wood.

Can I order any place in the world?

Yes. We can create any place worldwide, from major cities to small towns, municipalities, hometown villages, and favorite spots. Whether it is a city model, village model, or landscape model, we can turn any region into a 3D model. Simply select your place on the map and check if you like the preview.

What scale are the models?

Our city models are at a scale of approx. 1:5,500. Our landscape models are approx. 1:85,000. This provides the best level of detail for buildings and topography. With the 52 cm frame variant (city model) and with all landscape models, you also have a zoom function available. For cities up to 1.5x, for landscapes up to 3x.

What if I am not happy with my model?

Your satisfaction is our top priority. Contact us and we will find a solution. Quality issues and shipping damage are, of course, covered by us.

Where does the data for the models come from, and how up to date is it?

We combine the latest available, quality-checked geodata from commercial, official, open, and proprietary sources. In some parts of the world, this also includes data from OpenStreetMap. We would therefore like to thank the global community and the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Updates may take a little longer to appear in newly developed areas, so always check the preview. Your model is produced using the data available when you place your order, even if the sources change afterward.
