With the Lichtbild connector, tell Claude or ChatGPT about a place that matters to you: a city, a neighborhood, an address, or a mountain. The assistant designs your model, shows you two preview images, and gives you a link that adds the model to your cart on lichtbild.com.

Find a spot
A city, street, address, landmark, mountain, valley, or island: the connector finds the location and sets the center of your model.
Design a city or mountain model
Create city models with 3D buildings or mountain reliefs from elevation data. Choose the size, area, color scheme, and frame color to suit your vision.
True model previews
Two preview images show your model on a table and on a wall. They display the actual model geometry created from map and elevation data, not AI-generated images.
Plaques and markers
Add an engraved plaque with a name, date, or coordinates, and highlight buildings in color, such as your first home together.
A link to the cart
Happy with the design? You'll get a link that opens lichtbild.com with your model in the cart. Any items already in your cart stay there.

ChatGPT
You currently connect Lichtbild to ChatGPT through developer mode.
- 1Open ChatGPT in your browser and go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings.

Developer mode is not available on all ChatGPT plans.
Other AI apps that connect to MCP servers via a URL can use the same address. Claude and ChatGPT display a preview card with a progress bar. Other apps receive links to the preview images.

How it works

Describe the idea
Tell the assistant about the place and, if you like, the occasion, size, or colors. If anything is missing, it will ask you or use our default settings.

View the preview
The connector renders two preview images of your model, with progress shown in the chat. Want to change something? Just ask.

Open the link
Once you're happy with the model, you'll get a link to lichtbild.com that adds it to your cart.

Order on lichtbild.com
Review everything in your cart and check out as usual. The price shown there is the final price.
No orders or payments are made in the chat. Ordering and payment take place exclusively on lichtbild.com.
Good to know
- Building detail depends on the map data available for the area. Smaller or more remote places may have fewer buildings mapped.
- Multi-module panoramas, plotted routes (GPX), individual building edits, and the acrylic cover are only available in the configurator on lichtbild.com.
- Prices in the chat are estimates. The price in your cart is the binding price.
- AI assistants can make mistakes, too. Always rely on the preview images and your cart on lichtbild.com.
Privacy
- We only receive what the assistant sends to the connector for your model: the location, your design choices, the language, and, where relevant, your delivery country.
- We don't receive your conversation history, and the connector doesn't ask for contact details such as your name or email address. The chat itself is processed by Anthropic or OpenAI under their respective terms.
- To make the preview and order link work, we store your design and preview images, just as we do for a preview on our website. Plaque text is part of the design.
- We pass location searches and coordinates to mapping and geodata services for processing. For our statistics, we count which features are used without linking that usage to individuals.
FAQs
Does the connector cost anything?
No, the connector is free. You only pay if you order a model on lichtbild.com. Your plan's terms still apply to your use of Claude or ChatGPT.
Do I need a Lichtbild account?
No. The connector works without an account or login.
Are the preview images AI-generated?
No. The images are renderings of your actual model, calculated from map and elevation data, just like the preview in the configurator on our website.
Can I order directly in the chat?
No. You'll receive a link that adds your model to your cart on lichtbild.com. That's where you review your order and pay.
Can I make changes to my design?
Yes. Tell the assistant what you'd like to change, such as a wider area, a different color scheme, or an added plaque. It will update the design and generate new preview images.
